The Story Behind Higher Muse
Art has been apart of my life for as long as I can remember. I have always felt that my creativity is a gift because it comes so naturally to me. I have never wanted to squander this gift, so I’ve resolved to grow my creativity and my skills. When I create I draw my inspiration from the natural world, but also something higher, a Higher Muse.
A muse can be defined as a person or personified force who is the source of inspiration for a creative artist. I find inspiration not only from things around me, but also from the One who put this passion and creativity within me.
Meet Ashley
Hello, I’m Ashley Garcia, founder of Higher Muse. My love for art all started when I was in elementary school. I remember painting with my mother and seeing her beautiful watercolor paintings inspired me. Creating art never seemed daunting to me and it was something that came easily to me. Once I reached high school and had my first graphic design class I was obsessed! This digital medium allowed for so much creative freedom. As cliche as it is, the only limit was my own imagination. When I found out I could do this as a job, my mind was blown!
Studying graphic design in college further solidified my calling to do art as a career. Since graduating with my A.A. in Graphic Design and Visual Communications I have merged my passion for art with my knowledge of graphic design and photography to assist others through the creative services I offer. I have dabbled in fine art, and calligraphy but have honed my skills in graphic design and photography as my two primary services offered. I have had the honor of partnering with businesses, authors, publishing companies, non-profit organizations, churches and marketing specialists. I would be more than happy to partner with you to create something special.
